Mia Bezzi Dip.Couns
I warmly welcome you to my site. I am an experienced qualified Integrative Counsellor and member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
There are many reasons why people come for counselling, whatever your reason, know that I am happy to listen, help and to walk alongside you on your journey.
Integrative counselling means that I am able to draw upon different counselling theories such as the Person Centred Approach which is used to work through feelings that are happening in the here and now - in this present moment and also the Psychodynamic approach, which works by looking at your childhood and your thoughts and feelings on a more subconscious level. However if your childhood and past is something you don't wish to discuss we don't have to. I will adapt the way I work to best suit your needs.
I am able to offer a calm and contained space where you can feel safe to talk about any issues or feelings that you need to, whether you're suffering from anxiety , depression or a bereavement. I understand that every person is different and therefore I adapt the way I work to best suit your individual wants and needs, whilst providing a relaxed and safe environment.
I also offer mindfulness and meditation guidance as part of the session, if this is something you are interested in please ask for further details.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and are usually weekly.
I attend monthly supervision and I am fully insured.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
