Would you like to make better sense of your life? I offer support so you can develop the tools to create meaning and increase psychological well-being.
I am an experienced counsellor of eight years' standing and work with a range of issues and welcome a diversity of clients. We work together so you can find relief from emotional distress, build self-awareness and access inner resources. Counselling is a rich opportunity to make positive changes and enjoy more personal choice and freedom. It promotes fresh insights about yourself and the people and circumstances in your life and can open the door to nourishing new experiences.
Over the years I have practised as a counsellor I have successfully and consistently established supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationships with a diverse range of individuals, each with their own story and each dealing with their unique personal circumstances and challenges.
I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel that you and your concerns really matter. You address whatever is on your mind or in your heart at your own pace. I draw on both humanistic and psychodynamic principles and am happy to discuss these approaches more with you. I offer both short-term and open-ended counselling.
Making the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. Rest assured you will receive a warm welcome. If after reading my profile you feel you wish to make contact please do. After a brief introductory telephone conversation I will offer you a 50 minute consultation. This will afford us an opportunity to together explore your wants and needs . Moreover the initial consultation gives you the opportunity to see if you feel comfortable working with me and ask me any questions you may have. I charge £55 for this consultation.
If you choose to proceed with counselling I will find you a regular weekly slot.
