About me
Hello, I’m Meltem, an integrative therapist registered with the BACP. My approach combines Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, allowing us to tailor the process to your unique needs. Together, we’ll explore your past to better understand your present and create a path toward a fulfilling future. I recognize and value the uniqueness of each individual. I am committed to supporting and affirming diversity while addressing mental health challenges with respect, understanding, and inclusivity.
Healing, in its most authentic form, happens through the connections we share. Therapy, rooted in the Greek word “therapeia”, meaning “healing,” is ultimately the practice or method of caring for one another. Therapy was a turning point in my life, and it’s my hope to offer you the same kind of support and guidance. I’m dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate space where you can freely explore your feelings without judgement.
I work holistically, addressing every layer of your being - mind, body, soul. In our work together, we’ll look at how symptoms often reflect responses to adversity, helping you to reframe and transcend them. Breakdowns can become breakthroughs, and triggers can be portals to a deeper, more authentic self-understanding. My aim is to empower you to gain clarity about what you want, build resilience, and make positive changes in a confidential, non-judgemental environment where your thoughts and emotions are honored.
I have experience working with clients facing depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and other mental health concerns. A significant part of my work focuses on supporting those navigating loss, grief, issues with self-esteem, confidence, and balance in life. Loss can take many forms, whether it’s the passing of a loved one, a major life transition, or a sense of disconnect from yourself. You may be coping with a specific loss or simply feeling that life is out of balance. Counselling offers a safe space to process these feelings and find a way forward.
I’m not here to “fix” you; I’m here to walk beside you. Healing is a journey we take together. Let’s explore your story and uncover your truth. I look forward to meeting you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
