About me
My practice and my life experience has taught me that life challenges such as trauma and/or loss can also be accompanied by feelings of injustice, of shame, powerlessness and anger. My training has emphasised the need to provide a safe and welcoming space for clients to unravel the labyrinth of hurts and anxieties which underlie their difficulties, helping them without judgement towards identifying needs, goals and new meanings in life. My background as academic teaching subjects linking ethics, psychology and law has highlighted the very powerful emotions and traumas which may spring from the difficulties of everyday life.
I specialise in humanistic, person-centred therapy, which focuses upon the uniqueness of the individual client and their experience, listening with great care to collaborate with them in uncovering the complex issues which have led them to therapy and supporting the identification of new perspectives.
