About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I hope you find all the information you need, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.  I am a member of the BACP and offer one to one counselling sessions.

How counselling can help

Counselling aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable. It can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings. I will be there to support you and respect your views.

Showing our vulnerability with someone and opening up difficult and painful material is easier said than done. Therefore it is important to find the right counsellor for you.

What to expect from counselling.

My Counselling service offers a safe, confidential and non-judgment environment to explore and make sense of your experiences. Through a therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect, I will support you in developing your own resources – improving your quality of life.

I started my studies at Doncaster College and hold a level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I trained as a person-centred counsellor, which means that the sessions are focussed on your needs; what the client speaks about is always their choice - I will not lead them, offer advice or tell them what to do - but I will work with them to find their own solutions.

I also work successfully for a long established agency that provides counselling and support for children and young people throughout schools, so I have gained lots of experience within this age range, I am able to work with children from 6 years of age.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • Level 2 Introduction to Counselling

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
