During difficult times in our lives, it can feel as though no-one can truly hear us. Most of us suffer anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or grief at some time. My counselling service offers you a safe and supportive place to explore your issues and express your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental, therapeutic environment. Using humanistic, integrative therapies, we will work together to find the right approach for you to feel empowered and to gain a better understanding of your thoughts, behaviours, values and beliefs, enabling you to become 'the best that you can be.'
All of our sessions will be conducted in a confidential and client led way, inviting you to share as little, or as much as is right for you.
I work with adults and young people on a one-to-one basis, in a quiet rural environment, plus I have other venues available which may suit you better. I offer a reduced rate, first 30 minute session, so that you and I, can be confident in working together.
Appointments are flexible, early morning daytime and some evenings and are available on a weekly or fortnightly basis. I offer a reduced rate for counselling students.
To ensure that my counselling service is available to those who need it, a limited number of concessionary sessions may be awarded , depending on circumstances. Please ask for further details. Home visits are sometimes available.
For some, face to face therapy can seem daunting and after sitting in the car/ office all day, the thought of sitting for a further hour can seem too much. Walking-talking therapy may be the answer for those who prefer the opportunity to access their feelings in the great outdoors. This type of therapy is often beneficial for those feeling trapped or feeling as though they have lost themselves along the way. It helps to release tensions and may allow clients to access thoughts and feelings that may have been lost for some time. If this sounds as though it might be for you, please ask me for more details. All walking-talking sessions are client led and move at the clients own pace, at a physical and psychological pace which is comfortable for you. As my counselling practice is in a quiet, tucked away place in the shropshire countryside, there are many suitable walks on the doorstep with stunning views and space to explore issues and feelings confidentiality.
I am also able to offer 'goat therapy' for those who might enjoy being amongst animals. This type of therapy offers a relaxing and thought provoking setting to people wishing to explore their feelings in a different way. Please ask for more details if this feels right for you.
I look forward to working with you.
