About me
Hello and thanks for taking a look at my profile. I'm an experienced Humanistic Counsellor and provide a safe and confidential space in comfortable rooms in Bexhill on Sea, or outside spaces near my practices. Counselling I believe, is setting aside time to explore difficulties you are experiencing which may be having a negative impact on your life. I have Private and Public sector experience as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, EFT practitioner and Walk & Talk Therapist working with Adults of all ages.
You may never have considered Counselling as a way of helping you with painful emotions and difficulties in your life until now. Sometimes it may be difficult opening up to family or friends for fear of hurting, upsetting or feeling judged. Counselling is a way of working through difficult emotions and perhaps working to change behaviours which have been harmful to you or may have been holding you back. You may feel stuck.
I offer caring, therapeutic support and acknowledge that you are the expert on yourself.
Confidentiality is at the heart of working together. I will provide support and hope we can gently create a connection. Together we can work with different strategies to enable you to gain a better sense of who you are and where you may be able to move forward in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BACP Accredited Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and therefore abide by their strict codes of ethics. I offer 1-1 counselling, Walk & Talk Therapy near Bexhill and I am also an EFT practitioner (Emotional Freedom Technique - or known as Tapping)
I have Private and Public Sector experience as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist and EFT Practitioner having worked in a local Hospice, NHS and University settings.
I work with young people and adults of all ages who are struggling with issues relating to : depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, terminal illness, loss, self-esteem, confidence, parenting difficulties, relationships, marital difficulties, infidelity, separation, divorce, work related difficulties, redundancy, loss of identity, miscarriage, anger management, self harm, abuse and more.
I offer short and long term Humanistic Counselling, EFT and Walk & Talk Therapy.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer 50 minute sessions of 1-1 Counselling/Psychotherapy, EFT (Tapping) Indoor Face to Face, Online using encrypted platforms, Telephone or Outside Walk & Talk Therapy.

Please note: I do have a very small number of low cost slots for clients experiencing financial difficulties. I am happy to discuss when we meet.
