My aim is to help you overcome your hurdles, transform your life into the one you would like to live, and give you the skills and techniques to become your own therapist.
I offer psychological therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other psychotherapy approaches. I have diverse experience working with adults coping with different psychological symptoms and physical health conditions.
Over the years I have worked extensively with people coping with Depression and Anxiety (such as: OCD, health anxiety, general anxiety, social anxiety, phobias) as well as Physical Health Conditions, such as Diabetes, Cancer, and Heart Diseases, to name a few. I have strong theoretical, clinical, and evidence-based knowledge and skills in long-term as well as acute physical health conditions, medically unexplained symptoms and their associated mental health difficulties.
I strongly believe that every client is unique and I adapt the therapy to suit your needs and goals. I am passionate about enabling people to have healthier and happier lives with the benefit of psychological knowledge and practice.

Long and acute medical condition
The diagnosis of a serious physical health problem begins a period of significant distress and adjustment for the individual as well as their significant others. Unfortunately, the psychological aspects of coping with physical health problem are often overlooked.
Chronic health condition may affect your quality of your life in different ways such as:
· causing anxiety and depression
· affecting sleep patterns
· limiting your ability to work
· increasing your dependency on others
· affecting how you see yourself e.g. body image
· increasing feelings of social isolation
There comes a time when support is needed from a certified professional to learn how to cope better with many of the life’s challenges you may experience. My goal is to support you in your journey of coping with your health condition and help you transform your life into the one you would like to live.
In my work I recognised the need for psychological support not only for the individuals who were diagnosed but also to those close to them. Often caregivers do not take the time and energy to promote their well-being and therefore are often suffering from chronic distress. You can use the time of our sessions to work on issues related to distress coming from supporting a loved one.

What to Expect:
Initial Telephone Chat
I know that the first step in seeking support can be the hardest. You want to find a therapist that meets your needs and you feel comfortable working with. To assist you with that first step, I offer a free initial 15 minutes phone chat to see whether we would be a good fit to work together.
Following the telephone chat, the initial consultation may last for up to an hour. During the initial consultation we will talk about your main concerns, what you are hoping to gain from the therapy, as well as how could we work together to achieve your personal goals.
Attendance at Sessions
After the first session, consultations are 50 minutes. Attendance is normally weekly unless we have agreed on another arrangement. It is important that you arrive on time as I cannot extend the length of the session.
Cancellations, Lateness and Holidays
Your therapy time is reserved for you. Therefore, late cancellations, less than 48 hours before your appointment are charged at 50%. Less than 24 hours or if you simply do not turn up without notifying me, you will be charged the full rate. If you cannot come to the session and wish to have telephone session instead (at the time of your appointment) this is also possible. If you are late the session will finish at the agreed time, in order to accommodate my next patient.
Your time is as valuable as mine. I offer a reciprocal cancellation policy, which means that if I am late to cancel your appointment (less than 48 hours) you will get 50% off the following appointment. Less than 24 hours, your next session is free. If I were ever to be late I would make up the time or reimburse you accordingly. When taking a holiday I will give you plenty of notice and I ask you to do the same.
