About me

I am a pilot trained integrative counsellor and clinical assessor, informed by the psychodynamic tradition and when appropriate I use other techniques. I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy for Anxiety/ Depression on a short and long term basis. I also provide help for those with a fear of flying. I have extensive knowledge in aviation and a special interest in helping people who have a fear of flying.
I am interested in how past events are impacted on the present. My work endeavours to explore underlying issues that present in the form of depression and anxiety. I provide a confidential and safe environment that allows a trusting relationship to develop.
The first assessment session is free. I provide a safe and non judgemental space for my clients so that speaking openly about their difficulties encourages them to recognise there growing potential within a facilitating environment and to become who they want to be within themselves and within relationships.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Masters degree in Pychodynamic counselling with merit from Goldsmiths College  University of London.I also have an Airline pilots qualification from the Civil Aviation Authority.

My experience has included working with a wide range of clients  and In addition to my private practice, I work as a psychotherapist/assessor which includes Multi- Ethnic counselling. My work has also included counselling students who are training to be counsellors. I have provided counselling for University students.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
