About me

I am a Chartered Psychologist (BPS) and a registered Counselling Psychologist (HCPC) offering psychological therapy to individuals from a diverse range of cultural, social and religious backgrounds. I am guided by the principle that the therapeutic relationship and connection between client and therapist are the most important ingredients for successful therapeutic work. With this in mind, I always aim to facilitate a real and honest engagement with my clients. I offer a non-judgemental and safe therapeutic space with the hope that clients will begin to be curious about their internal world and become more aware of their ways of being in the context of their environment. Together we will explore your subjective present and past experiences, emotional patterns, relationships and other difficulties you might be facing. We will also focus on your future ambitions and how to make meaningful changes in order to live a more fulfilling life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have several years of experience working with different client groups across NHS and charity settings. I have worked with varying levels of human distress and presentations some of them include low mood, anxiety, stress, and relationship difficulties. I draw on a variety of different therapeutic approaches such as humanistic, existential and psychodynamic. I aim to work collaboratively with my clients and will adapt my approach to best suit their needs.

Alongside my independent practice, I work as a psychologist within an NHS Sexual Wellbeing service in Central London. I help individuals make sense of their experiences and help them adjust living with their diagnoses, as well as understand their sexual behaviours, and manage their anxieties related to sex.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
