Maureen Fenner RMBACP. Dip. TC. Counsellor/Therapist/Supervisor
Hello and welcome to my listing.
I have a particular interest in relationship work; both with couples and families.
As a therapist my role is to help you find a way through what is worrying you and causing you to be unhappy, so that your life can feel more comfortable and manageable for you.
It can be difficult to reach out for help, particularly to those closest to us, and to talk about our problems to them, as we can receive judgement from them which can lead to further difficult feelings within us. That's when counselling can be useful, as it offers you the opportunity of talking things through within a safe and confidential space, always free from judgement.
We will have an initial talk over the phone and then I will offer you appointment for an assessment lasting for about 40 minutes, giving us the opportunity to meet and I will explain further about the counselling process and how it may be able to help you in your life, as I invite you to share with me what has caused you to seek my help. We work at your pace, this is your time and your session.
This assessment will cost £30.00
My areas of expertise include:
- Bereavement and loss
- Victims of crime
- Physical and emotional abuse, [both recent and historical]
- Domestic Violence
- Low self-esteem
- I will support you toward taking control of your life, and understanding why the things that make you unhappy can feel so powerful.
I am a fully insured and registered practitioner.

Supervision & training
I offer person centred supervision incorporating integrative models when required, and I work with clinical and non clinical supervisees. My style of working is collaborative, as I encourage supervisees to explore confidently, how they work with their clients, and also to check in with their own feelings in a congruent way, both with themselves and with me. .
