About me

Reaching out and asking for support is a huge first step. I know how challenging it can be when you want to change/do something or explore how you are thinking and feeling. You've made a great achievement in taking those first steps and I would like to acknowledge that.

I work in a humanistic way, which means I am led by you and your needs and at your pace. I offer a compassionate space to explore the difficulties you are facing in your life. I strive to provide you with a space where you can be yourself.

I offer a free initial 20-minute call to think about how we might work together. Over the last five years, I have worked with people from all walks of life. You might be experiencing general anxiety, social anxiety, depression, feeling sad or other emotional difficulties. Please do reach out and we can discuss how therapy may help you.

I also work with individuals from the LGBTQ+ community struggling with their sexuality, gender, relationships, or just needing a space to talk.  I know a little about how reaching out for support can make us nervous and anxious. I offer a non-judgemental space to help you discuss your difficulties.

My practice also complies with data protection regulations and I am bound by the ethical framework of the BACP.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have training in person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. I draw on each approach when working with clients to tailor my approach for each individual.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
