Is life feeling overwhelming? Are you struggling with anxiety, low self-worth or stress? Have you recently been through a significant change or something traumatic?
Whilst your situation and experience is unique to you, I promise you that you're not alone in feeling this way.
Talking to a trained counsellor gives you the opportunity to feel heard and to be understood. We can’t always prepare ourselves for what life throws at us, so if theres something you’ve been struggling with or something you’d like the be different, it’s the perfect place to explore this.
In my time in practice I have specialised in working with people in distress because of bereavement, trauma and anxiety. I work with adults and young people and have a wealth of experience in helping people overcome loss and significant life changes.
I work to help you make the changes that you want to make and accept the things that you can't.
You will find me to be warm, empathic and will offer you the confidential and safe space that you need to explore the issues affecting you as you embark on your counselling journey.
I am a qualified counsellor with additional training in CBT. I am fully insured and a member of the BACP. I am happy to offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation where you can ask any questions. This also allows you to explore any worries you may have about seeing a counsellor and we can make sure that we are the right fit for each other.
I work in a primarily humanistic way which puts you in control of where the sessions will go. I’m not here to judge or analyse. My role is to support you as we explore together, the thing(s) that have brought you here.
I work mostly over Video Call or Telephone as the platform for your counselling.
How to get started…
I understand that taking the first step when starting counselling can be very overwhelming and choosing a counsellor can be confusing. If you would like to give me a call, text or email to set up a free consultation where we can discuss what you would like to get out of counselling and we can organise your first full session from there.
Sessions last 1 hour for either a mutually agreed number of weeks or on an open-ended basis.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
