About me
Do you often feel disconnected—from yourself, from others, or from the life you want to be living?
Are your own needs always pushed to the bottom of the list? You might be wondering if life is supposed to feel… better. Happier. More manageable.
Right now, many people are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and uncertain—juggling relationships, careers, and responsibilities while barely finding time to breathe. When we ignore our needs for too long, it can take a real toll—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
I believe it shouldn’t be so hard to live a more fulfilling life. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, understand what’s really going on underneath the surface, and start making meaningful changes that feel true to who you are.
I offer a supportive, person-centred approach that puts you at the core of the work we do together. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck, I’ll walk alongside you as you explore new ways of living and relating to the world around you.
Sessions are available online, over the telephone or Messenger-Based Therapy, offering flexibility and comfort wherever you are. I also offer a unique "walk and talk" option that combines the therapeutic benefits of nature on the Isle of Bute.
If you’re ready to take that first step towards a better life, I’m here when you’re ready.
Training, qualifications & experience
With extensive experience in handling life's challenges, I trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor & Psychotherapist accredited through the BACP (MBACP) with PERSONA. I currently work as a school counsellor and support individuals of all age ranges. I also work for an EAP counselling organisation supporting adults across the UK.
Additionally, I have many years experience supporting vulnerable adults, while previous to working full-time as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, I worked within Suicide Bereavement.
- Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy
- COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills from Strathclyde University
- Member of the BACP (MBACP)
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
As a counsellor, I address various issues, ensuring you feel heard, safe, and validated. My approach is non-judgemental and transparent. While primarily Person-Centred trained, I may incorporate other modalities if relevant. I won't steer our sessions; instead, I'll support you in exploring what matters most to you, walking beside you throughout the process.
