About me

Successful therapy IS possible; don't give up! As an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Addiction & Trauma Consultant, Treatment Manager, and Family Interventionist, the client's successful treatment is the norm and paramount to me. I will let previous clients hopefully inspire you: “You helped me know myself, honour myself, understand myself and ultimately free myself." (Leigh, Norfolk) "PTSD and anxiety no more!" (J, Diss). "I have seen many therapists and other professionals, but the The Inner Solution is extremely special. Words can't describe how grateful I am Matt!!" (Mike, Suffolk)

My specialities include counselling and psychotherapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Addiction & Alcoholism, Phobias, Bipolar, Depression, Panic Disorder, Attachment and Developmental Disorders, and more. "Remember how much I was struggling with my recovery when I came to you? I still can’t believe how you helped me..." (H, Norfolk)

I deeply invest in my clients, their therapy and treatment. Don't give up hope; reach out. You will be truly amazed at what is possible! I look forward to assisting you. "Matt is a unique psychotherapist who has phenomenal insight and knowledge. He talks and listens from the heart with enormous passion." (India Kirby, psychotherapist, Suffolk)

Training, qualifications & experience

Over the last twenty years, addiction, PTSD, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, depression and trauma related issues have been the foundation and drive of my psycho-therapeutic work. I have vast experience, having had the pleasure of working with over 2500 clients; and counting in many different roles and environments.

From the development and managing of residential Therapeutic Communities, rolling out nationwide rehabilitation programs, co-authoring integrative treatment manuals and programs, the Addiction & Trauma Consultant at an award-winning addiction treatment facility in Suffolk (before this role I was the Treatment & Interventions Manager for over 10 years), and a highly regarded private practice, I continue to be absolutely dedicated to assisting others who are currently struggling and suffering needlessly.

I am also humbled and honoured to be recognised as a gifted, passionate and highly skilled group facilitator, educator, public speaker and Family Interventionist.
