About me
My name is Matthew, and I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapist (EMDR) with over ten years of experience in mental health. I understand the importance of a bespoke and tailored approach to therapy. We are all unique individuals, as are the experiences that bought us to therapy, therefore working with me you will get a tailored approach based on a shared understanding of your difficulties.
For many people coming to therapy can feel a daunting prospect and it is important that you feel at ease and build an effective working relationship with your therapist. At the heart of my practice, I strive to provide a compassionate and non-judgemental environment. I truly believe all have the ability to make positive change in our lives but sometimes require the right support and guidance to do so. Coming to therapy can be the catalyst to take back a sense of agency and move towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
