Matt Harris - immediate online/phone appointments available
Do you know what it is that you want, or need to change? Or are you feeling unsettled but not sure why? I understand it is hard to start counselling and find a therapist whom you will feel comfortable to talk through what is troubling you. So why me? In a safe and confidential space I will help you to gain insight and understanding of what is troubling you, and help to change what is causing you to feel unsettled or unhappy. I am a qualified Bournemouth based counsellor, with immediate availability; by phone and Zoom.
My approach is anchored by Person Centred Therapy and Gestalt, working with mind, body and spirit. I don’t have a one size fits all approach, and depending on what is most helpful for you, I will draw on other different models of therapy too.
Counselling can provide the time and space, to help bring awareness of the issues, and gain clarity, understanding, and perhaps what changes are needed. Whilst it isn't for me to give you the answers, I will be alongside you, to help you to find those answers, empowering and supporting you along the way.
I am a certified EFT (Tapping) practitioner and can also offer this complimentary therapy to help with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, guilt and phobias.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
