Hi, I'm Matt and as an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor, it is my belief that we all have the power and the resources within us to make the changes that are needed, but it is not always possible to tap into those on our own.
Stress, anxiety or feelings of overwhelm can build over time or often appear suddenly, and trying to move through these feelings can be hard, and reaching out for help is a big step. I am offering you a safe, calm, confidential and non-judgemental space to work through what is causing you unhappiness.
My approach is Person Centred, plus I draw on other models of therapy too such as Gestalt; depending on what is most helpful and relevant for you. Whilst it isn't for me to give you the answers, I will be alongside you, to help you to find those answers, empowering and supporting you along the way.
Counselling is time for you, to have support and explore what changes you can make. I will be alongside you, and work with you, to help you find your way forward. If that sounds good, please contact me to arrange a free 20 minute phone call. We can talk through what is troubling you, for us both to see if I am the right person to help and work with you. My aim is to help you to gain insight and understanding of what is troubling you, and to find the best way forward.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
