About me

Hello. My name is Marzena and I am a Psychodynamic/Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I also using Humanistic Approaches, having my private practice which is called “The Counselling Bay” in The Eaves in Guildford, Godalming and Farnham in Surrey. I offer therapy work with adults, young people, teenagers and children with individuals, groups and family counselling on a face-to-face basis. I hold an MA in Educational Care & Therapy/Psychology plus multiple diplomas and certificates in various areas of psychotherapy and counselling.  19 years of training & experience in psychotherapy and therapy.

I have extensive experience of successfully counselling clients with a range of complex needs. This work has helped me to develop expert counselling skills and enhanced my interpersonal skills.

My clients have consistently reported substantial improvements in their wellbeing, as measured at the start and end of counselling.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I can help you to walk through this journey, to find a way to a safe place which respects your values and beliefs. You can talk about any issues that bother you and explore your emotions without judgment. I have 19 years of training and experience in a broad range of topics in psychotherapy counselling and educational therapy.

Anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, suicidal thoughts.  Issues: relationships, bereavement, marital, coping skills, emotional disturbance, adolescent / teenager, children / trauma, stress, addictions, suicidal attempts, learning disabilities, ( I have over 10 years experience working in therapeutic field with children and young people with Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, OCD, dyslexia, behavioral issues, coping skills).

I offer on my counselling session Humanistic and Psychodynamic Approach. Psychodynamic approach is designed to help individuals with a wide range of problems such as anxiety, addiction and eating disorders. Primarily used to treat depression, psychodynamic therapy can be particularly beneficial for those who have lost meaning in their lives or have difficulty forming or maintaining personal relationships and many different issues. I offer a safe place to explore your fillings, your relationship patterns and whatever going on in your life.

I apply Drawing and Talking (D&T) Therapy to help children and adults to overcome trauma, anxiety and difficulties in relationships at home, school or work. If you are interested in exploring how D&T can help you to express your feelings in an easy-going non-judgmental way, allowing the full realisation of your social and academic potential.
