My aim as a therapist is to support people when life becomes overwhelming. Whether you are dealing with long-term challenges, or an immediate crisis I am here to help. I offer a supportive space where you can talk freely and reflect on your experiences without being judged or shamed. I believe by working together and building a trusting therapeutic relationship can help you to process safely your thought and feelings, giving you the confidence and strength to lead a more fulfilling life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with additional training in online counselling and bereavement. I have worked within the NHS and for the charity MIND. I use an integrative approach when working with people which means I blend psychodynamic and person-centred theories and ideas enabling me to meet each unique client's need.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 386201) and follow their ethical framework on confidentiality, code of ethics, and good practice when working with all clients.
I understand that initially contacting and choosing the right counsellor can be difficult and takes courage. For these reasons, I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions regarding the sessions and the services I can offer you, which will help you to decide if working with me is the right fit for you.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
