About me

If you are new to counselling, or starting with a new counsellor it can be daunting – that is perfectly normal. What is important is that we feel comfortable working together. I hope to develop a good relationship with you by listening to you carefully and empathically and without judging you. I have many years of experience, am fully qualified and insured, and have therapy rooms in Peacehaven and Seaford.

I offer Counselling-directory clients an introductory session at a reduced charge so that we can see if we can work well together.

Ongoing sessions will normally be at the same time on a weekly basis. You decide how many sessions you need.

Here are some lovely comments from former clients.

"Cannot recommend highly enough. So much happier and confident and my relationships are now flourishing."

"Released deep seated emotions enabling me to see and deal with things differently."

I qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor; but if it seems right for you I can integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioural, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused and Sand tray therapies as appropriate.

In addition to my own caseload, I work with clients affected by adoption on behalf of Barnardo's and am a member of Sussex Alcohol Counselling Service service.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
