About me
I am a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. I'm offering to work with you through difficult, anxious and troubled times. In my Practice I work with Individual and Couples. I also work with younger clients from 18rs old. My experience of working with people struggling and feeling the weight of various psychological issues, enables me to offer my clients counselling that is tapered to their individual needs based on their own unique experiences.
I currently work online due to the Guidelines for Covid19 until further notice.
I am committed to offer clients weekly face to face 50 minute counselling sessions, in a comfortable safe, setting where they can begin to speak about issues that impinge on daily life. This might be due to depression, anxiety low mood, alcohol abuse, bereavement, divorcee, family trauma or acute new struggles, that includes sexuality, work related issues, trauma, sexual abuse, violence.
My aim is to offer my clients an opportunity to explore underlying problems from early experiences, and through the course of open-ended work, help clients to build a better sense of themselves, for the future.
.
My work has also included many aspects of Autistic spectrum disorder, with clients at different levels of capability both in and out of work.
I am trained in Psychodynamic model but I also draw from other models, for both long and short term, depending on what is felt to be more suited to the need of my clients.
I also offer Supervision to Counsellors in training, and fully qualified therapists across modalities.

Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
