My name is Marty and welcome to mind and body therapy.
I help people on a daily basis to help overcome difficulties such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD and help achieve a healthier lifestyle (exercise, nutrition, sleep, boosting resilience). The aim is to help you feel happier, healthier and more like you again
Mind & body therapy is a new wave therapy that combines psychotherapy (cognitive behavioural therapy) and health coaching (exercise, nutrition, sleep, boosting resilience) to improve how you think, feel and function each day. This mind and body combined approach has shown clients improve symptoms faster, improve physical health markers (fitness, sleep, body composition, energy levels), return to therapy less frequently and feel happier overall compared to a therapy alone approach. You also can choose cognitive therapy alone if you feel you don't need assistance with health coaching (lifestyle advice).
My practice has also recently been awarded winner of the 2021/2022 business award for 'health and wellbeing services in Scotland' to give you some reassurance of high quality care and service excellence.
I offer a caring, warm and supportive environment for you to feel comfortable and safe to share whatever may be on your mind. Working collaboratively and through psychoeducation, therapeutic tools, techniques and altered thinking patterns we can change how you see yourself, others and the world. This can lead to a significant improvement in self-esteem, confidence and happiness.
I am a qualified psychotherapist (cognitive behavioural therapy), councillor and health coach. I offer psychotherapy, counselling and health coaching online via Zoom or in person. I offer individual sessions or an 8 weeks to wellness program.
Feel free to also visit my website mindandbodytherapy.org for more information.
I've also produced a short video on 'ways to boost your resilience' you can access here (https://youtu.be/ILivdX03oHw) or within the video section
Please contact me for a free consultation and to help you get back to feeling more like you again.
