About me

I am currently working online. Contact me through email, whatsapp or signal.

I work generally with an adult professional group but do not limit my self by these criteria. I counsel for general anxiety, loss and stressful events or challenging life transitions.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss your personal requirements. I am pleased to answer even the simplest questions.  Any contact will remain confidential.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My first degree is in Philosophy and English and I have a comprehensive group of professional qualifications.

I have 9 years experience with private clients and additionally have worked in some organisations as well.

I generally work as a person centred counsellor but have trained in other modalities such as CBT.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

Talking therapies work. Sometimes we need to talk to someone who is not a friend or family member. This will help us clarify where we stand and how we feel making important life changes or responding to challenging situations at work or in the home. Loss and loneliness can leave us feeling we don't matter or our opinions are out of sync with those around us and talking them through without 'people' knowing, really helps. Make the initial contact and I'll see what we can do to change things for you.  Have a look at my web pages at onechaijones@weebly.com these may help you before you decide what to do.
