About me

As a person-centred counsellor I practice a non-judgemental confidential and safe space for you to explore your issues. My role as a counsellor is to help you safely work on the issues in your time and when you're ready to explore them at your own pace without feeling rushed or pressured.

My experience of issues I have worked with over many years includes working with people that are dealing with bereavement, self-harm, confidence, anger, self-worth, employment issues, domestic abuse, sexual violence and mental health.

I am passionate about the therapeutic process. I believe that given the right conditions, we can all thrive and expand our awareness enough to live a fulfilled life.

I am a registered member the British Association for counselling and psychotherapy (BACP) As such I abide by their Ethical framework.

I specialise in helping clients who have been affected by  domestic violence, sexual violence, rape, childhood sexual abuse, childhood trauma.

I have vast experience of working with military personnel and the families of veterans & serving soldiers. Coming from a military background myself with the experience of what a child/wife of military family go through and how this has an effect on an individual.

I worked at Queen Elizabeth hospital on the military wards, supporting soldiers with physical and emotional injuries who had been flown back from war zones. I also supported soldiers and veterans with combat trauma including pysical injuries and mental health while working at Help for Heroes. These are the areas I have the most experience.
