Marta Paglioni The Cosy Room Therapy - Dramatherapy Bournemouth and Winchester
Do you struggle with anxiety, poor self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or other emotional issues? Do you sometimes find it difficult to articulate what the problem is or feel that words are just not enough to express it? It might be that Dramatherapy is right for you.
Dramatherapy is a form of psychological therapy/psychotherapy in which all of the performing arts are utilised within the therapeutic relationship (BADth).
Clients do not need to have previous experience or skills in acting, theatre or drama, it is not about performing well or being good at acting, rather it is about making use of dramatic tools to explore, address and make sense of troubling issues. I personally offer different techniques to clients, depending on their personal needs and what they feel more drawn to: stories, masks, creative writing, drawing, play, puppetries and improvisation are just some examples. Talking has its space too.
I see clients individually on a weekly basis. After a first assessment, we understand if we can work together and eventually set some initial therapy aims.
