About me

I have over 10 years of experience working with adults.

I offer sessions in person or by video call.

I provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where you can share whatever challenges you are facing. I approach our sessions with a whole person view fostering a caring, compassionate and professional relationship. I will listen and respond without judgement, ensuring you feel heard understood and respected.

My initial training was within the person centred model of counselling. Since then I have completed further professional development broadening my person centred knowledge towards an integrative approach. This means my way of working puts you at the centre of any conversation between us. Rather than giving you answers, I will provide a safe supported environment for you to discover your own answers and to see yourself, your challenges and your strengths in new ways.

Whether you have a specific reason for seeking counselling or are still exploring your motivations, I will welcome you with warmth, empathy and a genuine interest in your well-being.

I am committed to establishing a therapeutic relationship which means a connection between myself and those I work with that is built on trust, mutual respect, and a sense of hope which I believe is essential for fostering meaningful change.

I provide a confidential environment and prioritise your needs throughout the therapeutic process.

If you find yourself on this site, you may be seeking a confidential space to express your thoughts and connect with someone who does not judge as you determine your next steps. Acknowledging the need for help can be difficult but you do not have to face this journey alone.

I offer an initial one hour consultation at £45 with further sessions at £55 per hour.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have gained experience working with various charitable organisations, within the NHS and in private settings. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and add here to their ethical framework and hold a Foundation Degree in Person Centred Counselling. Additionally, I possess an up-to-date enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. I am committed to my ongoing personal and professional development, ensuring that my skills and knowledge remain current so that I am also an active participant in the process of change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
