About me

Mark Lowman -Integrative Psychotherapist Counsellor & Hypnotherapist

I’m an integrative therapist offering a grounded, compassionate approach that draws on person-centred counselling, psychodynamic insight, CBT, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy. This flexible, tailored approach allows me to support clients across a wide range of issues, including low self-worth, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

As well as working with general emotional wellbeing, I also run individual clinics for sex and pornography addiction. I provide a confidential and non-judgmental space to explore the underlying patterns and emotional drivers of compulsive sexual behaviour, helping clients move toward greater self-awareness, control, and healthier relationships.

Before retraining as a therapist, I worked for many years in demanding roles within the financial services industry. That real-world experience gives me a practical understanding of stress, burnout, performance pressure, and the challenges of maintaining emotional well-being in high-pressure environments.

Whether you’re seeking focused support or deeper long-term change, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where you can reflect, heal, and grow.

Further information

Outside of my therapeutic work, I’m a keen observer of people and enjoy exploring psychology beyond the therapy room through books, writing, and reflective journaling. I’m also a lover of music, especially from the ska and new wave scenes, and enjoy walking through quiet countryside or historic towns to unwind. I believe creativity, humour, and curiosity are essential ingredients for both life and healing.
