Seeking support can feel overwhelming. Not quite sure what it is you actually need? I can help.
I like to keep it simple, because life can be complicated enough.
Has the last year left you anxious, depressed, fearful, bereaved or confused. Has it raised issues with work or relationships?
I can help you whether you need short term support with something you are going through now or to help understand what may be long term or historical issues you are ready to deal with.
There may be something bothering you - but friends and family are not the right people to talk to right now. I can help you with your perspective on situations, if that's what you need or just the opportunity to talk to someone who isn't emotionally attached.
In my counselling I like to offer understanding, no judgement, confidentiality and a safe space to freely share what you are comfortable sharing.
I hope to build a working relationship built on trust to help you change and manage your life differently.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and Accredited member of the BACP. I have been client-focused for over 12 years. I am also a trainee supervisor able to
Offering video or telephone sessions at the moment, I also offer walking/talking therapy. This may suit those who would rather not be in the confines of a counselling room as some may find this intimidating. This involves going out and walking through the session. Walking is proved to add to your personal well-being and naturally produces endorphins, which also trigger positive feelings in the body.
If you feel talking to someone may just help, then please contact me to discuss your needs and have a informal chat.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a CPCAB Diploma in Counselling. I regularly update my skills by attending training days, in subjects such as, trauma, attachment and eating disorders. I am currently a Trainee Supervisor, with a person centred background.
I have specialised in addiction and family work, domestic abuse having delivered therapeutic programmes and written workshops.
I feel passionately about personal learning and growth. Through my work and training have recognised how important self care and self awareness is.
I have worked in welfare, prisons and for charities, building up a solid foundation in client work - first hand. I have also worked for over 3 years within an IAPT NHS setting, working with clients both short term (6 weeks) to longer term (up to 20 weeks).

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority.
