Hello and welcome to the first step of your therapeutic journey. I am Marion and I am a professional qualified integrative counsellor.
**Sessions are currently being held via Zoom or telephone**
Sometimes life can throw up obstacles or challenges that we may find difficult to cope with or that can set us off track. At other times we can find ourselves dealing with long term issues that can continue to impact how we function day to day or affect our ability to see a way forward.
I work in a warm and empathic way to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic space for you to explore who you are and to help you identify your own direction. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
As an integrative therapist I work using psychodynamic and person-centred counselling techniques to treat you as an individual and to work collaboratively with you so that you can identify your own way forward. I believe that one of the most important element of counselling is building a trusting relationship with you and I will always work in a way that accepts and respects you regardless of your issues or concerns. I will always listen to you without judgement and work in a way in which you can feel empowered in your own life and any changes you may want to make. Whether you are looking for a brief, focussed approach or to work longer on deeper issues, I can provide you with a safe space to work through those concerns.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
