Marion Booth MBACP BA (Hons)
As an experienced & professional counsellor I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental, welcoming, open, safe, respectful, supportive, thoughtful and affordable service. A confidential space to explore anxiety, loss, family or relationship issues, isolation, self-esteem, fear, changes, or whatever is important to you.
I believe the individual is the only true expert on his or herself. I feel we all have the inner resources and answers within us to lead happy and fulfilling lives. However, at times it can be hard to hear this inner wisdom and guidance through the noise of modern life, anxiety and at times deep emotional pain.
My role is to offer an environment built on compassion, a non-judgemental attitude and my authentic presence. Here you can discover meaningful insight about yourself, move through periods of feeling stuck and develop valuable skills in order to move forward with life.
As an integrative practitioner I incorporate various counselling approaches or schools of thought in order to find a way of working that is right for you. Please read the qualification section to find out more.
I offer short term and long term support depending on your needs and budget. I have experience in supporting people with a broad range of issues: anxiety, the inner critic, attachment style, loss/grief/isolation. I also have professional and personal experience working with individuals affected by cancer and addiction.
I view each person as an individual as I strive to understand your unique experience and view of the world.
For me, counselling is YOUR space to express, explore and make sense of your inner world in safety.
As well as my private practice I also work as a counsellor in a local cancer charity and have worked in an addiction centre with clients recovering from alcohol and drug use.
For more information about me and how I work see below or visit my website (link above).
f you choose to come to counselling I will listen attentively to begin to understand the difficulties from your point of view. Talking through issues can help to see them more clearly. We can look at options and choices to see what is best for you.
Please do not hesitate to call or email if you would like to speak to me or find out more.
Finding the right counsellor is crucial to your experience, therefore I offer an introductory session for £25 and would love to hear from you.
