I imagine you are reading this because you or someone you know is going through something difficult. Or maybe you want to find your confidence or your life purpose. I would love to support you in this journey. I believe there is nothing that can’t be dealt with and I will listen with compassion and no judgement.
Seeing a therapist was paramount in my healing journey in the past and I think this could also help you. Opening up to someone I trusted was powerful and helped me to see the possibilities my life had at that moment. The support I got in navigating the difficulties that were going on kept me hopeful and led me to a new chapter. I believe finding someone non judgemental and that you can trust is the first step for this process to start.
My experience comprehends several issues encompassing anxiety, depression, family issues, generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, low self-esteem, addictions, panic attacks, phobias, eating disorders, trauma, psychosexual issues, psychedelic integration and relationship concerns. I also support my clients in career choices, life purpose and spirituality.
I offer online counselling in Portuguese and English.
Email or message me on Whatsapp. I respond very quickly. We will arrange an initial consultation as soon as possible so we can get to know each other and see if I can support you. From there we will decide together if we are going to work in an open contract or with a preestablished number of sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust and I am post-graduated in Psychosynthesis Counselling (PGDip) which is validated by the Middlesex University and accredited by both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
I also have a qualification as a yoga teacher in India and I am very interested in working with body related issues and to consider how we store emotions in different parts of our body.
In addition to my private practice I am a training assistant at the Psychosynthesis Trust, a renowned institution in London Bridge that trains counsellors and psychotherapists. Also I have volunteered at the Volunteer Hackney Centre visiting people suffering from isolation, as well as various physical and mental health issues, supporting them to meet their life goals and rebuild their independence
- My approach is integrative with a transpersonal aspect.
- I have public liability insurance and I attend regular supervision sessions.
- I offer therapy sessions in English and Portuguese.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
