About me

During the Covid 19 crisis I no longer offer Face to Face but confidential telephone/skype therapy with reduced rates for NHS frontline.

For 15 years I was employed in Brighton and Hove NHS surgeries as a Counsellor.I offer Individual Brief/Long term Counselling/Psychotherapy,and Life Coaching. My expertise and experience includes working with-

  Bereavement/Loss, Low Self Confidence/Esteem, Depression/Low mood, Post Natal Depression.  Anxiety/Stress related issues, Panic Attacks. Anger management, Work/Career and Relationship issues,  Physical/Emotional/Sexual Abuse, difficulty making Decisions, Loneliness, Self harming, Disturbing thoughts/Memories, Family problems. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Affairs and Betrayals.Separation and Divorce

I am a Humanistic therapist  whose Core model is Person Centred, underpinned by an Integrative framework which includes  T.A and Mindfulness CBT.
Registered with the Dr Edward Bach Foundation for many years, I am also a Holistic Therapist. My original training was in Childcare, and I am experienced in assisting  parents experiencing  challenges in their relationships with each other, and their children.

I have CRB clearance, and work to the  ethical guidelines of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

During the Covid 19 crisis my fees are
£45 per session online, phone, and Skype.

Front line and Key worker NHS staff offered reductions.
My availability is flexible.
In addition to 10a.m - 6pm from  Shoreham, I have some Saturday morning appointments and other times may possibly be available on request.
I  try to offer new clients a 50 minute initial assessment as soon as it is required. This is usually within a week and sometimes may be possible within 24/48 hours as try to keep sessions available for urgent appointments.

My initial assessment appointment helps you to ascertain whether you feel I am the right counsellor for you, and able to best meet your needs.

I offer a specific number of sessions, or open ended sessions are available.

My response to any message via phone or email is usually within the same day either to make an appointment, or if there is a question regarding therapy you might wish to ask me.

My Shoreham location is close to Shoreham High Street and the Train station. It is served by a very comprehensive bus service.There is also free parking.
Southwick, Lancing, Portslade, Worthing, Mileoak and Steyning are within easy reach.
