About me
Hello, I'm Marie from Lighthouse Counselling,
I am an integrative psychotherapist offering a compassionate space for people who are carrying more than they can manage alone.
I specialise with working the inner wounds. You might be overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, loss, or relationship struggles. Or perhaps you’re simply exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Whatever you’re facing, therapy can offer something different: I will offer you a safe space, support, and the possibility of real change.
I work with a range of issues including PTSD, eating disorders, breakups, postnatal trauma, anger, grief, and anxiety. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in relationship with yourself first and secondly others —It is not through advice or quick fixes, but through deep listening, trust, and attunement.
I bring both professional training — a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Theology — and lived experience as a mother, where I first learned how powerful it is to hold space for another person’s feelings without judgment.
As an integrative therapist, I tailor each session to you — blending approaches to suit your unique story. Whether you're navigating old wounds or present struggles, I’ll walk alongside you with care and clarity.
If you are struggling with Anxiety, low self-esteem, dealing with losses, navigating through separation and grief, struggling with anger, trauma, co-dependency, difficulty focusing, fear, losses many more I would be happy to help you.
How to get started?
If you are interested in a 15-minute free introductory session which you can book here, please send me a text message at 07950 729861 or an email at hello@lighthousecounsellingcentre.com and I will get back to you within 24 hours.
This will allow us to see whether we are both compatible to work together.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
