About me

Do you need some help to make sense of problems related to an immediate crisis, a traumatic experience or have you been in distress for what feels like for ever?

Do you have an overwhelming sense of resentment, worrying, stuck-ness, sadness, shame, stress?

I help women and men who need support to cope with well-being and mental health problems. They may be conditions you've suffered from for a while, like depression, anxiety, phobias or they may stem from transitions or changes in life such as a separation, a bereavement or having a child.

I can support with habits you may have been trying to break for a while, like drinking or trichotillomania. Also habits, which may have become a problem suddenly, like gambling.

I have worked extensively in the field of addictions, with men and women affected by gambling, alcohol, drugs and their families. I can contribute in making a change.

I can help if you wish to understand how you relate to others, perhaps you suspect you are suffering from emotionally abuse in your relationship, or you need to feel better about yourself, deal with assertiveness, low self-esteem or confidence issues or issues with work/ career and finding meaning.

What is counselling?
Counselling offers a chance to talk in a confidential and non-judgemental setting. The aim is to clarify and reflect on your situation safely and recognise what choices you have; perhaps gain some insight as to reasons behind actions, thoughts, emotions.

I recommend a minimum of 6 weekly sessions of counselling, if short-term work is required.

What happens next?
The first consultation is an opportunity for you to decide whether you feel comfortable with me and for us to discuss whether we can work together and how. I welcome you to call me on: 07930315448 or click here to send me an email.

Sessions can take place face to face or online. I am based in Catford/Hither Green, London SE6. My clients come from Forest Hill, Brockley, Lewisham, Lee, Eltham, Greenwich and Bromley.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have trained in integrative psychotherapy at post-graduate level. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have practised counselling and psychotherapy for fifteen years.

I have had additional training in specific approaches like CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy); also in particular conditions, like anxiety disorders, and in different ways of working, like mindfulness, stress and anger management.

I have designed group programmes and run groups in mental health and also the field of addictions for many years.
