About me

Whatever you're going through you don't have to do it alone. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious or just not enjoying life anymore, know that it's ok to reach out for help and guidance. If you're not sure what you need or what will help, get in touch and we can talk through it together.

I offer a free initial consultation to hear what's happening for you and we can have a think about what might be helpful. This is also a good opportunity for us to meet and see if it feels right for you. To heal and move forward we need to feel comfortable and safe opening up, this therapeutic relationship is as important as the work we do together.

In our work together we will collaboratively explore your unique experiences with your needs guiding the process at a pace that feels right. As an integrative therapist I approach each client as an individual and consider which intervention will be most helpful. Together, we work towards gaining insight, awareness, and understanding, whilst gently moving you towards change. I provide an open, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can come to understand yourself and the problems you are experiencing better. I believe each person has the capacity and should have the autonomy to navigate their challenges and overcome them.

Whilst my approach is influenced by my training in counselling, mental health nursing and specific models, i also bring in aspects of my own learning through lived experience, personal and professional growth. Much like Carl Jung says 'Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul'.

I work with clients on an individual basis, both short and long term. I am currently offering in person and online sessions. If you live locally it may be possible for us to do a 'walk and talk' sessions if this would be something you'd like to explore.

EMDR Therapy

I am currently taking on new clients for in person or online EMDR.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a comprehensive psychotherapy that helps you process and recover from past experiences that are affecting your mental health and wellbeing.

It involves using side to side eye movements combined with talk therapy in a specific and structured format.

EMDR helps you process the negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations associated with traumatic memories that seem to be stuck. These can contribute to a range of mental health problems.

EMDR helps you to see things from a different perspective and relieves the symptoms that you were suffering.

EMDR can help with:

Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Low confidence and self esteem, Phobias, Behavioural difficulties, Relationship issues, Addictions and a number of other presentations.
