There are times when life can feel like a struggle which can make us feel anxious or depressed. Sometimes we may know the reasons for our feelings, but often we may be unclear why we are feeling low or depressed. We may begin to feel stuck, directionless or feel that life has no meaning. Powerful feelings such as anger, self-hatred, confusion, hopelessness and worthlessness can impact on our sense of self, our relationships with family members, partners, friends and work colleagues. In order to cope, we may develop self-destructive patterns of behaviour, such as self-harming, problems with drugs and alcohol, eating difficulties or relationship sabotaging behaviours which may lead us to experience feelings of isolation and rejection. We may feel that our thoughts and feelings are much too difficult to share with those closest to us or that we have no one that we can talk to.
Whatever your reason for seeking help, my aim is to provide you with a supportive, non-judgemental, empathic and safe environment to help you to explore and to make sense of your difficulties so that destructive patterns and painful emotions might become lessened and as a consequence allow you a greater freedom to live your life in a more fulfilling way.
