About me

Counselling in Bury for you. I know how hard it can be to seek help for life's difficulties so I am glad that you have taken this first step of looking for a counsellor to help you. I offer confidential counselling for many problems and my aim is to help you explore your concerns and find ways forward that are right for you.

As your counsellor, I will facilitate and support you in a safe and confidential environment to explore the issues you choose to talk about, without being rushed or feeling judged. I will work with you to understand what you are experiencing and help you to find your own answers and ways to overcome your difficulties.

I understand how negative thoughts, behaviour and habits can limit your life, but there really is no need to suffer unnecessarily when counselling really can make a difference to your quality of life. I am passionate about helping people take control of their lives so they can live as happily, calmly and productively as possible. I look forward to helping you make those positive changes.

Sessions are usually for one hour and are offered weekly, but this can be varied depending on your need and my availability. You can have as many or as few sessions as you feel you need. I can offer prompt appointments. Phone 0161 763 7969 or 07876 662272 to book an appointment.

If you are unable to attend for a face to face appointment due to coronavirus self isolation or ill-health, I offer the option of a telephone counselling session for £25. Please phone or email me for an appointment.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

Further information

How hypnotherapy will help

I am a qualified and experienced Hypnotherapist and I work with anxiety, stress, weight loss, confidence building, phobias (including flying, driving, heights, lifts, spiders, public speaking) panic attacks, anger management, teeth grinding, insomnia, fertility issues, exam nerves, sports performance, general relaxation and much more.

I developed an interest in hypnotherapy when I visited a hypnotherapist myself to overcome a phobia that I was having at the time, I was an anxious airline passenger. So I understand how negative thoughts, behaviours and habits can limit your life, but there really is no need to suffer unnecessary stress or anxiety - if you are open to hypnotherapy and really want to make changes to your life then you CAN replace old, unwanted behaviours with new, desired responses. Now I am able to fly long haul and have been to the USA, Hong Kong and Australia on several holidays. I am passionate about helping people to take control of their lives so they can live as happily, calmly and productively as possible.

Hypnotherapy is a completely natural intervention which accesses your inner resources to bring about positive changes to your emotional and psychological well-being. It tends to be quick and effective so that in many cases 2 to 4 sessions are sufficient. Your first session is £55 and is for one hour and 15 minutes. Subsequent sessions usually take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis depending upon your availability.
