About me

At Cottage of Hope Counselling, your space is one to one and always confidential🤐 & safe😷.

Choose to explore at your pace what this means to you. Regardless of the issue(s) whether current or past you, the individual can be assured and guaranteed the trust we build is in excellent safe professional experienced hands.

Yes, taking the first step can be daunting.  Why shouldn't it be? But in return within a one to one safe, confidential & trusting space you will allow access (door only needs to be ajar) to my 10 years of mental health experience.

I provide traditional talking therapies where I use different integrated approaches humanistic, CBT or psychodynamic depending on client needs.

I can integrate sand play therapy (creative therapy) into the sessions which can explore thoughts, and feelings in a different way. Creative therapy is a gentle & soothing therapy but yet very powerful in aiding communication & healing.

I am an exceptional listener without judgement.

I have worked 10 years in the mental health field with experience of working with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, and coping skills.

As a qualified integrative counsellor, my passion is to help others and recognise their struggles, challenges & internal pain that grew from darker days.

You are giving me the opportunity to help, and support but more importantly, change your well-being NOW and your future is a massive positive reward/return that you give me.

Reach out, let me help you 🤗

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UKā€™s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACPā€™s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they wonā€™t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
