About me

Thank you for taking the time out to look at my webpage. Please do continue to read to gain a sense of therapy and what I can offer you.

At different times: You may want to feel different, be different, do different, say different, hear different and or experience different.

My name is Marcia: I have a natural curiosity to understand people, the way they think, what they do, why and how they behave and I am naturally drawn to try and understand individuals from this point.

I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where together we can work through difficult thoughts and feelings that you may be experiencing, through this process it is hoped that one will begin to see hope and aspirations where perhaps you felt that there were no options.

For me, one of the most important aspects of the therapy is to establish a therapeutic working relationship with my client. I am happy to engage in an initial conversation with you before we actually meet as this may assist you in any decisions that you want to make as part of your decision to engage in therapy. As a therapist, I understand that it can be quite a challenge to seek out therapy and I take this into account in my knowledge and understanding. I would say if you are feeling that talking to someone may help just try if not me then someone else, Therapists are generally interested in their clients.

As we grow and develop we will find a mutually emotionally safe place to work from.

I offer an integrative model that is influenced by the person-centered Model.

I am able to work with children, young people, and or adults, who present with substance misuse, anxiety, low mood, depression, uncertainty about their lives, self-harming, trauma, families, Domestic violence,  abuse, family issues, attachment, child on adult abuse, hearing voices and self-confidence.

Thank you

Kind regards

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
