Marc Dalal B.A. Dip Couns MBACP
Hello, my name is Marc. My counselling practice is based in Barnes, south west London.
I work with long-term issues that affect the quality of day-to-day living. I have a natural empathy toward people with a musical or artistic inclination, and those with disabilities such as dyslexia and “associated difference”. Some of my clients consider themselves apart from others in some way.
My training is “integrative” which means I have studied the major schools of therapeutic thought; humanistic, cognitive behavioural therapy and Freudian. I workshopped practical counselling skills to an advanced level.
Depending on your inclination we can look at childhood issues or what is happening in your life at present. If you have a target issue to deal with do let me know as we can use that as a starting point.
Alongside talking therapy, we may work with visualisation techniques or encourage forms of self expression such as writing, drawing or music. All of which are recognised and encouraged within NHS standard practice.
For general information on counselling try: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/counselling/. I am on the BACP register which you can find via the professional standards authority website.
