About me

Hello/Ciao!
I’m a fully qualified counsellor, offering online therapy for adults in both English and Italian.

You might be seeking therapy due to an unexpected life event or challenges like relationship struggles, anxiety, stress, or burnout. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed by your thoughts, find it hard to communicate your feelings, making decisions. These experiences can leave you feeling stuck or hopeless. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, goal setting, life transitions, and finding balance between work and personal life.

I also have a particular focus on:

Chronic Conditions and Neurological Syndromes

Living with a long-term condition like dementia or autism can be incredibly challenging. Changes in the brain can affect how we feel, think, and connect with others. My background in cognitive neuroscience, combined with my counselling expertise, helps me support those adjusting to life with such conditions. Together, we can work towards making sense of these experiences, finding practical adjustments, and building understanding for you and your loved ones.

Trauma and Loss

Whether from a single event or ongoing experiences, these can deeply impact our lives. They might include breakdowns, sudden traumas, or grief. In therapy, we’ll explore your feelings with compassion, gaining a clearer understanding of what’s happened and finding ways to integrate those experiences into your life so you can move forward with greater resilience.

Fertility, Prenatal, and Postnatal Support

The journey of fertility, conception, or parenthood often brings significant emotional shifts and challenges. Feelings such as guilt, shame, loneliness, anger, or pressure can become overwhelming. After birth, both individuals and relationships experience enormous changes that may feel difficult to navigate. Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore these emotions, work through grief, sadness, frustration and embrace your new role with confidence. Moreover, we will also focus on setting boundaries and managing the expectations of others as you adjust in your new role.

Whatever brings you here, I want you to know that alongside these struggles, therapy can offer us all an opportunity to make sense of our experiences and feel more hopeful; enabling you to build a stronger relationship with yourself and, in turn, with those around you.

I believe that within each of us lies great potential. By fostering self-recognition and self-awareness, we can uncover powerful tools for healing, understanding, and managing life’s challenges. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. It takes courage to open up about your deepest feelings and concerns. That’s why I am committed to offering a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard. Together, we’ll explore your needs, desires, and goals, empowering you to navigate life’s ups and downs with greater clarity and confidence.

As a humanistic integrative therapist, I draw from a range of approaches—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Psychodynamic, and Transactional Analysis (TA)—to tailor therapy to your unique situation.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more or schedule a free initial session.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Therapy (CPPD), Certificate in Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy (Tavistock Relationship) and PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience (Goldsmiths University).

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA).

In addition to my counselling training, I have a background in cognitive neurosciences and over 10 years of experience as a clinical researcher and manager, specialising in neurodegenerative diseases.

My background in cognitive neurosciences allows me to consider how neural processes influence our feelings, behaviours, and reactions. Moreover, my clinical experience has provided me with a profound understanding of as well as the challenges faced by those dealing with chronic conditions, whether as patients or caregivers.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
