Mandy Williams MBACP
Taking the first step to make contact with a therapist can seem extremely daunting but with the right help there comes the opportunity for peace and improved wellbeing in your life.
I offer a safe, professional and confidential counselling/psychotherapy service where we can look at the difficulties you are experiencing in a safe, supportive environment. My training is integrative in theoretical terms and our work always reflects your individual needs.
By exploring your life together you can share your concerns and gain insights into issues that may have arisen from the past or present, maybe you are having problems in your relationships, with anxiety or depression, with stress or PTSD. Together we can explore what is troubling you and look at ways of improving your wellbeing, with the support of an ongoing therapeutic relationship.
I have experience in working with trauma, with victims and survivors of sexual violence and those affected by domestic violence. My work with autistic spectrum disorders and those with a learning disability has given me a special interest in this area.
I predominantly see clients at my quiet private practice in Bricket Wood with available parking, I also see clients in Kings Langley by appointment.
I am a fully registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to working within this ethical framework. You can find out more about the BACP by visiting their website www.bacp.co.uk.
For individuals I offer an optional free 30 minute consultation where we can meet and discuss if working together is right for you. I can tell you what you can expect from me and answer any questions you may have. If you decide you would like to enter counselling with me we can then arrange a suitable time of the week to meet.
Our assessment session lasting one hour will help us gain a picture of your life and what has brought you to counselling. From there we can discuss what you feel you may like to focus on and the number of sessions you may require.
Our sessions from there on will each last for 50 minutes
I am fully insured, hold a current DBS certificate and am registered with the update service.
Couple sessions are for one hour, alternatives can be discussed between us
