About me

I work as a psychotherapist with both individuals, for short or long term therapy and with couples who are in relationship.
I have experienced that when we struggle in our lives, our relationships, our work, our health, loss of loved ones or with aspects of our own character, life can seem very challenging. We can all reach points at any time in our lives where we feel lost, lonely and wondering what to do next.
Difficulties with our relationships can often leave us feeling challenged and angry. We know that people, often our loved ones, are important to us, but we find we have limited skills and do not know which way to turn. We begin to doubt who we really are.

Reaching out might be difficult at these times, but there are so many ways that counselling can help with support and new understanding.

My training is in Transpersonal Psychotherapy, and I have had many years experience as a counsellor, psychotherapist, and supervisor. I work and practice in a way, where the aim is to help us connect with our own natural wisdom and nature. In everyday life, this allows us to be aware of a sense of meaning and purpose, and especially supports us at those most difficult times, or with seemingly hopeless problems.
I believe that if we have a problem, whether it feels big or small, it is always worth exploring.

I work with you as an individual with whatever is your important issue. These can be wide and diverse and can include:

  • relationship issues
  • health matters
  • anger management
  • body symptoms
  • bereavement
  • low self-esteem
  • bullying
  • work-related issues
  • mid-life crisis
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • stress
  • trauma
  • childhood issues and many more.

Sometimes we need chance to explore why we have lost the ability to feel our way and enjoy life.

For individuals, I offer an initial short talk by telephone so that we can get an idea of what you bring and so that you can get a "taste" of the process of counselling without commitment. We then plan a way forward. We can meet and work on- line or in-person. I offer both short and long-term work depending on your needs.

Couple Work
I work either together with my husband or, if you prefer, with either one of us alone. We are both under Supervision from the Centre for Gender Psychology.

Working creatively in couple work, the focus is on the relationship and its unconscious roots, the difference between genders as well as specialist issues such as sexuality and stepfamilies.

In our dedicated sessions, the aim is to help you and your partner understand the way you function in your relationship so that you will have choice in the way ahead. You will gain new skills and new understanding. Relationships are confusing and challenging and sometimes feel impossible to manage without help.

' Just when it feels like it might be the end - it may have only just begun.'

Our relationships are important as they are our investments in life.
