Mandy Cooper MNCS Accred.
Hello and welcome. Finding a counsellor can be daunting and I recognise that getting in touch with someone you don't know can be difficult. My aim is to make this process as straightforward as possible for you. I am a qualified and accredited counsellor and you can contact me by phone, text, email or through my Facebook page. I will talk you through what you can expect from the counselling process and you can get answers to any questions you may have. If you want to, you can choose to come and meet me (without any obligation) and we will explore together whether counselling is the way forward for you. I will offer you a safe and non-judgemental space for you to talk about any issues that are worrying you.
If you do decide to work with me I work in an integrative way which means that I use different therapies to best suit your needs. I use the Person Centred Approach to build up a therapeutic relationship with my clients and then introduce other theories if I feel that they will help you. Sessions are generally weekly to start with but can be arranged to suit your individual circumstances.
I have a warm, relaxed style and I am committed to ensuring the best outcomes for you. I work with both adults and young people and have experience of working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Also, my specialist training and experience in bereavement counselling means that I am able to support you if you are experiencing loss or bereavement, including traumatic loss such as losing a loved one to suicide or in an accident.
I am a qualified professional Youth Worker and I feel privileged to be able to offer one-to-one counselling to young people who are experiencing difficulties.
Please contact me to discuss your needs or to arrange a free 30 minute initial meeting.
