About me

You will see me in a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment, in which you will be able to open up, explore and express your thoughts and emotions safely, in your own time and at your own pace, with out the fear of being judged.

I have worked in private and voluntary organisations, where I have gained extensive knowledge, experience and an insight into a range of complex and general issues.

As well as working with adult clients, I also have considerable experience working with young people and children.

Psychotherapy explores emotions, beliefs, thoughts and behaviours. Together through the therapeutic relationship we can gain a new perspective to make life more manageable, understand its purpose, meaning and promote change.

I work integratively, which means that I can adapt the several approaches that I have had broad training and experience in and tailor these models, to your specific needs and situation.

One approach that I have been trained in is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is used mainly as short term work and has been proven to be of enormous benefit for people suffering from, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, many different types of Phobia’s and also Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD).

CBT can help you address the problem/s and negative thought patterns, which are impacting on your present way of life.

As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to the BACP’s ethical codes of practice and conduct.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
