Maggie Edwards, PG Dip Counselling, MBACP
About me
Anxiety, depression, fear, anger, guilt, stress, poor self esteem/confidence, unhappy, low mood, isolated, unable to cope.
These are just some of the ways that your problems in life you may going through now or in the past, may impact on you. We all can struggle at times and experience periods of change which can have different meanings to each of us and how we deal with them. Sometimes it can be difficult and overwhelming and we can get stuck unable to find a way forward.
Sharing your issues in a safe space will allow time for you to be listened to and truly be yourself. I encourage a working partnership to help you find your way forward; so that your past or present experiences don’t continue to impact, allowing you to move on with your life.
As we and our experiences are all unique I tailor your therapy to you, drawing from different counselling practices, models and therapeutic tools so you can get the most benefit. If you feel this is the right time for you and I may be the right counsellor for you then I invite you join me; you do not have to do this alone.
“Alone we do can so little, together we can so much” (Helen Keller)

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
