About me
My goal is to empower people to reduce the impact of anxiety on their lives and to equip you with the tools to feel more in control of your choices.
I specialise in:
- Anxiety problems (e.g. generalised anxiety, panic, health anxiety)
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
If anxiety is a challenge in your life, it likely stems from a history of anxious moments that may have begun in childhood or emerged during a difficult period or significant event. I use EMDR to break those anxiety patterns, and CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people develop simple and effective strategies and tools for managing life's challenges.
If you find yourself reacting in unhelpful ways and have struggled to change them, EMDR may help soften those survival-based responses (fear, worry, intrusive thoughts, anger, etc.). This can reduce the urge to avoid important situations or push yourself through them with difficulty.
I take a person-centred approach, tailoring CBT and EMDR to suit each individual’s unique needs and experiences.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Clinical Psychologist with 11 years of experience in the NHS, specialising in PTSD, trauma and anxiety disorders. I currently run a private clinic for adults.
I have a particular interest in OCD and am currently developing a CBT- and EMDR-based framework to help reduce the impact of misophonia in people's lives. This approach may be especially beneficial for individuals who have a history of anxiety alongside misophonia.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
