Lynne O'Brien MBACP (Accred)
Hello, my name is Lynne O'Brien. I am an experienced, qualified counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors & Pyschotherapists. I am an open and approachable person who is easy to talk to.
In our lives sometimes we are faced with situations that can have an overwhelming effect on us and it becomes difficult to cope. Holding on to our feelings and thoughts can cause us to react in unhelpful ways and may also lead to physical symptoms. It is helpful to talk to someone, to explore what is happening, to heighten awareness and help with setting goals or to be heard, acknowledged and understood.
I am person-centred and work integratively, this means
- I build working relationships with genuine non-judgemental respect, promoting a feeling of safety to encourage exploration of your feelings, helping you to make sense of your world, and
- I am able to use various techniques that may help. Just as we are all different, alternative styles or techniques in counselling can help with each person.
I look forward to meeting you.
