About me
My name is Lynne Komolafe. I am a qualified Midwife and CBT Therapist. I am currently employed with the NHS as a Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Midwife with vast experience in all aspects of pregnancy care and maternity pathways. I have lived in Latin America and have travelled extensivelywith a keen passion for different cultures. I am in an interracial marriage with three teenage children.
Pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period can be a time of great joy and excitement however, it can also be a time of challenge, uncertainty and fear. I am experienced in being a safe place to open up about these challenges and to journey together towards hope and overcoming. I understand the value of engaging in this work in order to prevent longer term issues which may impact on other important relationships.
As a CBT therapist and Christian Pastoral Care lead, I offer compassionate support and guidance which facilitates self-awareness and transformation. This can empower individuals to feel and behave more confidently, ultimately finding greater fulfilment in themselves with capacity for greater health in relationships.
Relationships can affect all aspects of our lives, performance and emotional stability, I like to use an integrative approach to encourage self- awareness, empowerment and healing for healthy relational states. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor is very important in successful outcomes and aim to facilitate this strength in relationship with all clients.
