Lynne Heber MBACP (Reg) Dip.Counselling
(As I’m sure you will understand it is no longer advisable to provide face to face counselling. However I am offering counselling by telephone and FaceTime in the coming weeks until further notice. So if you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed due to the present situation or needing support whatever you are going through please feel free to text, email or phone to arrange a time suitable for you. If I’m not able to reply I will return your message as soon as I can. )
Most of us at some time or another feel overwhelmed by lifes circumstances which can leave us feeling helpless and alone; it can seem like there is no way out. Counselling with me will give you the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you feel better understood. You will begin to resolve issues that currently prevent you from enjoying life. Through therapy at my practice I believe you can begin to heal and grow emotionally as well as gain control of your life.
Often making first contact can feel daunting; I will make it as easy as I can for you. I provide a safe confidential environment for you to explore whatever you are going through, and enable you to find a way forward. I work in a way that puts you first and I will be respectful and non judgemental. Within my practice I use a variety of therapeutic interventions, tailored to your individual needs.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
